9:00am-10:45am Keynote: Dr. Patrice Williams-Shuford "The Strategic Roots of Black Vaudeville"
This session will highlight the strategic creation and dismantling of Black Vaudeville. The lives and works of some of the key figures of Black Vaudeville will be explored. Time will be provided for poignant discussion about the impact the period had on race relations and why it was both a double-edged sword that cut many and a panacea. Breakfast will be provided from 9:00am-9:30am, and the keynote event will follow.
11:00am-12:00pm Breakout Sessions 3 & 4
Sessions 3 and 4 are performed at 11:00am and 4:15pm, each covering a different topic. Sessions 3 and 4 are hosted on Friday so attendees can attend both sessions that day. Passport and Day Pass holders can see both sessions the same day!
12:15pm-1:45pm Performance Tea, Community Center Activity Room
Enjoy an elegant afternoon tea and hors d'oeuvres on hand-painted China with a live historical performance of famous aviator Jackie Cochran, portrayed by Nancy Hasty.
2:00pm-4:00pm Excursion, Magnolia Cemetery
Enjoy a guided tour of our historic Magnolia Cemetery. Transportation to and from the excursion will be provided. The pickup and drop-off location will be at the Chautauqua Hall of Brotherhood.

This event includes a variety of interactive Vaudevillian performances from area talents while enjoying an elegant meal. Diners will vote on their favorite performance, and the winner will receive an award.
