Gulf Therapy’s 6th Annual Paddle for Peace brings the community together for a day centered on mental health, connection and the healing power of the water. The annual fundraiser invites participants to gather at Grayton Beach for an intentional group paddle designed to create space for reflection, connection and renewal. Gulf Therapy uses the event to raise funds that help provide paddle boards and expand access to additional mental health and wellness resources through local specialists.
The day begins with check-in and an opening ceremony before participants head onto the water for the intentional paddle. The experience includes opportunities to release what no longer serves them, honor loved ones who have struggled with mental health and set intentions for the future.
Following the paddle, participants can enjoy live music on the dock, food, refreshments and time together along Western Lake. If Gulf conditions are unfavorable, the paddle may take place on the lake instead.
Participants may bring their own paddle board or register for a board through Gulf Therapy. Advance registration is encouraged, as board availability is limited.
Registration:
$80 including board rental
$40 for participants bringing their own board
Location: Grayton Beach, near the Garfield Street beach access and Western Lake. Paddle for Peace is organized by Gulf Therapy, a local organization dedicated to connecting people with the therapeutic qualities of saltwater, paddling and community while helping those who need additional mental health and wellness support.
