The Holiday Season Kicked Off with Christmas Reflections, Holiday Markets & Small Business Saturday

Year after year, the charming historical town of DeFuniak Springs hosts Christmas Reflections, a festive event that brings people together to view countless holiday displays under millions of twinkling lights around the perfectly round Lake Defuniak.

Starting the evening after Thanksgiving and nightly throughout December, The Christmas Reflections event around Lake Defuniak is a destination for multiple gatherings of residents and visitors alike.

The first of several holiday markets launched over the weekend. Main Street DeFuniak Springs began their weekly Mistletoe Market on November 25th. A picture perfect setting for your Christmas card, Santa and Mrs. Claus are positioned next to the Town Christmas Tree by the iconic bank clock.

From hand-crafted bird houses to kettle popcorn, a thoughtful variety of goods are available for the weekly picking. With vendors lined in rows covering Baldwin Avenue, the Mistletoe Market returns week after week from 3 to 8PM on Saturdays.

For businesses, the day after Thanksgiving is also a holiday milestone, as a flurry of shopping begins with promises of major discounts. In the historic district, beautifully decorated storefronts and window displays help set the stage for local shopping throughout the holiday season.
