Celebrating 100 Years of Tradition

In a world where the hustle of modern life often pulls us away from our roots, the Walton County Fair stands as a proud testament to 100 years of community, agriculture, and tradition. Since 1924, this annual gathering has been more than just a fair; it’s a celebration of the rich agricultural heritage and vibrant spirit that defines North Walton County. As we approach this centennial milestone, it’s a time to reflect on the values that have shaped us and to honor the hard-working farmers and artisans who are the heart of our community.

A Century of Celebration
There’s something magical about fair season. Imagine the crisp autumn air, the smell of freshly baked pies, and the sound of laughter filling the night. The Walton County Fair isn’t just a place for Ferris wheels and funnel cakes (although those are must-haves); it’s a place where generations come together to celebrate the dedication and resilience of local farmers and families.

Fairs like ours are rare, in a world that often forgets the importance of tradition. The Walton County Fair remains a shining example of what makes our community special—where agriculture isn’t just part of our past but a vital piece of our future. Our local farms don’t just produce food; they nurture the very spirit that keeps us connected to one another.

100 Years of Agriculture and Community

The fair is the perfect opportunity to showcase the hard work of our agricultural sector. From prize-winning livestock to the finest crops, the Walton County Fair is a celebration of everything that makes our community thrive. But it’s not just about what we grow and nurture; it’s about honoring the people behind the scenes—the farmers who rise before dawn, the volunteers who keep this fair going, and the families who have supported it year after year.

As we celebrate this 100th anniversary, we proudly recognize that without these people and their unwavering commitment, our fair—and our community—wouldn’t be the same.
