Westonwood Ranch PCA Rodeo

The crack of the gate. The thunder of hooves. The raw grit of cowboys and cowgirls who refuse to back down. If you’ve ever been swept up in the untamed energy of a show like Yellowstone, then you already know—rodeo isn’t just a sport. It’s a way of life – And for two nights, that spirit is coming alive in Freeport.

Westonwood Ranch Rodeo

The Sixth Annual Westonwood Ranch PCA Rodeo, presented by Builders FirstSource, rides into the Freeport Regional Sports Complex on March 28-29, 2025. This professionally sanctioned showdown brings together the best riders, ropers, and rough stock athletes in the Professional Cowboy Association Circuit (PCA)—all for a cause that’s as bold and inspiring as the competition itself.

This is more than just eight seconds of fury in the bull riding chute or the lightning-fast precision of barrel racers pushing to shave milliseconds off their time. This is a rodeo with a purpose. Every ticket sold helps fund Westonwood Ranch, an organization dedicated to empowering teens and young adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). For these individuals, life’s challenges require the same resilience, determination, and fearless spirit found in the arena.

Come early and make a night of it—there’s a kids’ gold rush, food vendors, and inflatables for the little ones before the action begins. Then, as the sun sinks low and the dust rises high, settle in for a heart-pounding lineup of events: Bareback Riding, Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling, Ranch Bronc Riding, Team Roping, and Bull Riding. The kind of competition that reminds us why rodeo is the original American extreme sport.
