The new full-service branch reflects years of planning and Eglin FCU’s continued commitment to serving members across Walton County.

On Thursday, June 25, Eglin Federal Credit Union officially celebrated the grand opening of its new DeFuniak Springs Branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 677 U.S. Highway 90 W. The opening marks the credit union’s second full-service branch and third location in Walton County, reflecting its continued investment in serving communities across the county.

The Freeport Branch opened in July 2024, and the Santa Rosa Beach ATM/Video Teller Drive-thru, located at 4634 U.S. Highway 98 W., opened on May 11, 2026. With the addition of the DeFuniak Springs Branch, members now have another convenient full-service location in North Walton.

The grand opening was a celebration as much as it was a ribbon cutting. The community was invited to “Swing By & Stay Cool,” with Cumulus Broadcasting on site spinning tunes, Dippin’ Dots offered to guests and a drawing for two lucky attendees to enter and win a Yeti® Roadie cooler.

Inside, the approximately 4,400-square-foot branch features an open design with interactive touchscreens, a Coinstar™ machine, night drop, touchscreen Video Tellers and drive-thru ATMs, ensuring members have convenient access to their accounts.

The branch was designed and built by La Macchia Group, the same firm behind Eglin FCU’s recently opened Pace Branch, Freeport Branch, Operations Center and Santa Rosa Beach ATM/Video Teller Drive-thru.
