Celebrating 200 Years
The Bicentennial Celebration is more than an event—it’s a moment to reflect on the progress of Walton County and the people who make it thrive. Hosted in the historic heart of DeFuniak Springs, the day will feature something for everyone:
Bicentennial Parade: Starting at 1 PM, a grand procession will honor the county’s heritage with representatives from local businesses and organizations.
Opening Ceremony on Baldwin Avenue: 1:45 PM, Hear inspiring words from our elected officials.
Live Music: The festivities continue with Mike Whitty and the Sand Ole Opry starting at 2 PM.
Family-Friendly Activities: From kids’ activities to history exhibits, the event is designed to inspire all ages.
Fireworks Finale at 5:30 PM: The night will end with a spectacular fireworks display over the iconic Lake DeFuniak—a fitting tribute to the past and a beacon of hope for the future.
