In Historic Downtown DeFuniak Springs, The Last Stop Brew Vault isn’t just a taproom—it’s a living, breathing gathering place where craft beer, family, and community converge.

From the moment you cross the threshold, the energy is unmistakable: the preserved Coca-Cola–painted brick wall catches the eye, the iconic vault whispers of history, and the air hums with laughter, conversation, and clinking glasses. Here, magic happens everywhere—in every corner, every pint, and every gathering.

Jake Peters is on elf the family-owners of Last Stop Brew Vault.

The family-owned taproom offers 16 rotating craft beers, ciders, and seltzers, each poured with care and enthusiasm. “We love helping folks find what they like, whether it’s a hoppy IPA or a crisp cider,” says Galen Cooper, one of the owners. “It’s about discovery, but also about connection.”

Beyond the bar, the expansive side yard bursts with life. Once a quiet stretch of unkept green, it’s now the epicenter of nightly activity: food trucks serving everything from tacos to barbecue, neighbors tossing cornhole, kids laughing under string lights, and regulars gathered for Trivia Night, paint nights, or impromptu disc golf sessions. Jake Peters, co-owner and master of events, smiles at the sight: “Even when there’s no scheduled activity, people find ways to enjoy the space—families on the lawn, friends catching up, the kind of moments that make a community feel alive.”

Inside, the charm continues.  Cozy seating, a pool table tucked in a corner, and a collection of classic video games give guests plenty of ways to linger, compete, or unwind. Thoughtful amenities like outlets for laptops or phone chargers make it a place where everyone can settle in, whether for a quick pint, an evening-long gathering, or a little friendly competition.

What makes The Last Stop truly special isn’t just the beer or the historic walls—it’s the family behind it. Drawing from generations of military discipline and teamwork, every member plays a part: curating the craft selection, orchestrating events, creating playful marketing, and greeting each guest like an old friend. Their devotion is evident in every corner, from the preserved brick wall to the laughter spilling into the streets.

Across from Iron & Grape on Baldwin Avenue, The Last Stop Brew Vault has redefined the east side of downtown. It’s not just a destination for craft beer—it’s the place where neighbors gather, memories are made, and the simple joy of community is celebrated nightly. Magic isn’t confined to the side yard; it flows from the bar to the back patio, from the pool table to the video games, from the first sip to the last toast. Here, everyone feels welcome, and everyone leaves a little more enchanted.
