That’s exactly what Anna Fisher, Associate Artistic Director of the Emerald Coast Theatre Company, is doing in Walton County. Since 2012, Anna has helped grow ECTC from a small after-school program into a thriving professional theatre that now spans Walton County—from their headquarters in Miramar Beach at Grand Boulevard, to the historic theater in DeFuniak Springs, and most recently, to Freeport.
Two years ago today, Hwy 331 launched with a simple idea: to create a space where the stories of Walton County could be told with intention—connecting the north and south side in one shared community. It began as a digital hub, a place to celebrate milestones, support local businesses, and spotlight the people and places that make this corner of Florida unique.
