On Thursday, September 18, the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) will host Anchors Away, a free preview party at Shipyard Marina (116 Shipyard Rd.) from 6 to 9 p.m. The family-friendly evening will unveil the first round of artist-decorated, 4.5-foot concrete anchors—a striking new addition to Freeport’s landscape through the Anchored in Freeport project.

Artist of the Year captures the beauty of nature
As a child, Sarah Page could easily guess that Santa would leave an art kit of some form or another under the Christmas tree each year. Her parents encouraged her talents from a young age. “I loved drawing and crafting as a kid,” she says. “My dad was artistic so he and I would draw together.”
